The Ministry of Finance has stepped up efforts to strengthen transparency and accountability in the public service by providing training for members of the Integrity Committee on the implementation of the fourth phase of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan (NACSAP IV) for 2023-2030.

The training, organized by the Ministry's Department of Administration and Human Resource Management, is designed to equip committee members with the skills and knowledge necessary to monitor the implementation of the anti-corruption strategy and foster a culture of integrity in the institution. NACSAP IV serves as Tanzania's national framework for preventing and combating corruption, providing guidance to government agencies and other stakeholders responsible for upholding ethical standards and strengthening governance systems.
The Department of Human Resource Management of the Ministry of Finance conducted training for the Ministry's Integrity Committee on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and the Fourth Phase Implementation Plan (2023-2030), which will help participants gain knowledge on managing the Ministry's strategy implementation plan. The National Anti—Corruption Strategy and the fourth Stage implementation plan, NACSAP IV (2023-2030), create a national framework that guides all actors involved in maintaining integrity and anti-corruption efforts to build a society with the principles of honesty and zero tolerance for corruption.
Addressing the participants, Bashir Taratibu, Acting Commissioner of the Department of Public-Private Partnership of the Ministry of Finance, who is also a member of the committee, noted that the purpose of the training is to build capacity on issues related to the strategic implementation plan, promotion of integrity, prevention and combating corruption in the performance of the Ministry's duties. He encouraged participants to pay attention to the various topics that would be presented during the training, the results of which were expected to be useful tools in fulfilling their responsibilities.
The training, which was attended by employees of the Ministry of Finance from the Department of Human Resource Management, the Department of Public-Private Partnership, the Department of Government Communications, the Department of the Chief Internal Auditor and the Department of Financial Management Systems and Information Services, took place in Arusha.
