Registrar reviews CCM and Chadema responses to alleged violations

The Office of Political Parties Registration is conducting a comprehensive assessment of the responses submitted by «Chama Cha Mapinduzi» (CCM) and «Democracy and Development» (Chadema) to the accusations of inciting hatred and social discord. Both parties were accused of violating the Political Parties Act, 2019 and its provisions. As a result, the registrar's office sent formal requests specifically asking Chadema to justify why her registration should not be suspended.
